Boat leaves the pier at the marina Caleta at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to get your stuff into the boat and make sure you are ready.
The marina Caleta or old marina is located about 4.3 miles south of downtown Cozumel. The junction is clearly indicated when you are driving along the highway south.
Once you cross the parking pen at the Caleta entrace, take the right side, The Swordfish is moored about 150 feet from the entrance.
The duration on the regular two tank diving trips changes depending of the reefs selected to dive in a particular day.
In general you should be back at the Caleta around 2:00 p.m.
Being insured is not required, but it's a very good idea to be insured. Try the Divers Alert Network (DAN) insurance. DAN is a nonprofit scuba diving and dive safety association.
We take safety very serious. If you are sick, we may require you to bring us a letter from a licensed physician authorizing you to dive. If you have a medical condition, please let us know in advance, we may be able to help.
For your own safety and the safety of other divers, Flamingo Divers reserves the right to deny service to any person if we believe they are not fitted to dive.
Drift diving is the trademark of Cozumel. At Cozumel you may get some of the greates drift diving of your life.
Most of the time when you dive in Cozumel you just let the current do the work for you and allow it to drift you over the reef. The boat will follow the divers so that when the group surfaces the boat will be there.
Buoyancy control is important for drift diving
If your hotel is located south of th marina Caleta we may be able to pick you up at your hotel pier. Please note that some hotels will charge you a fee to allow you board a boat from their pier. Contact us to see if we can workout something for you.
Flamingo divers includes with the diving service the scuba ranks and weight belts needed for diving.
If you requiere other equimpment, Flamingo Divers will gladly provide it dor rent. Please let us know in advance if you will require additional wquipment for your dives.
